Create a one-of a kind piece of art to brighten up your kitchen in our into block printing class. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to block print but weren’t sure where to start, this is the workshop for you. In this 3 hour workshop, we will dive into the basics of the block printing process. We'll detail how to get started, what tools to use, transfer methods, the basics of carving technique, ink preparation and printing.
You’ll leave this class with a completed rubber stamp handcrafted by you, a hand printed tea towel, and comprehensive worksheets to reference at home. So whether you’re a creative novice or a seasoned artist looking to explore a new medium, come learn & print with us! Premade designs will be provided to choose from, or go one of a kind with your own original drawing.
Date: Saturday, February 22, 2020, 1-4pm
Location: Antiquaria Mercantile | Littleton, CO
Things to Bring: All materials will be provided for this class. We will have alternate fabric options available for purchase if you want to print more on the day of the workshop (it is quite addictive). If you’d like to create your own design, send us a digital black & white copy and we will have that available and ready to use for your carving. Please wear old clothing you don’t mind getting messy, as the oil based inks will stain fabric.
Cancellation Policy: We do not offer refunds once you’ve purchased your spot for the workshop.
